A Brief History of the Pledge of Allegiance

The Pledge of Allegiance is an oath of loyalty to the United States. It is recited at many public functions. Children learn the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools at an early age.

The focus of the ceremony was a flag raising with a flag salute. He included his "Pledge of Allegiance" along with the flag salute.
