Anticipation - Groundhog Day

You wait for something to happen when you anticipate something. Each year on February 2, Americans anticipate the groundhog. They wait to see if he will see his shadow. This day is called Groundhog Day. Groundhogs hibernate, or sleep, during the winter months. The groundhog will wake up from his long winter nap when the air outside gets warmer. He will come out of his resting place. This place is called his burrow. Sunlight causes shadows. The groundhog will poke out of his burrow. He will stay out if he does not .....
