Avoid Electrical Fires

You love your CD player, stereo, radio, TV, computer, and other things that use electricity. Many people enjoy those things. There's nothing wrong with that. The trouble comes when all those things are connected to the same outlet. This problem can also be found in kitchens. The cook may have a toaster oven, blender, food processor, bread maker, mixer, and electric can opener all plugged into the same outlet. It may not seem like a big deal. However, overloading a wall socket creates a fire hazard.


An electrical fire hazard means that current (excuse the pun) conditions could cause a fire to break out. To avoid such hazardous conditions, take the following steps:



1. Don't overload the wall sockets. One plug per outlet is the best way to reduce the chance of a fire.
