Be an Angel!

"You're such an angel," Grandma said, patting Chloe on the head. "I love having you as a granddaughter."

Chloe smiled. She loved her grandmother very much. Grandma was getting older and finding it harder to get around. About six months ago, Chloe's mom and dad had decided to move Grandma closer to them. They had a large piece of land, and they set up a nice little trailer in the back. This would allow Grandma to have her own space while the family could still check on her easily.

Most days, Chloe stopped at the trailer on her way home from school. Usually, she helped Grandma with some task. Today she made some tea, and she and Grandma had a little tea party together. Some days she helped by sweeping or wiping down counters. Grandma did some of these things herself, but with Chloe's help, she could get them done even more thoroughly.

Chloe often stayed for only a half hour or less, but it meant the world to Grandma. Grandma was often telling her friends what an angel Chloe was. Many of them were jealous. They could use some angels of their own!

One day, Grandma made a suggestion to Chloe.

"Chloe," said Grandma.

"Yes, Grandma."

"Do your friends visit their grandmothers as faithfully as you do?"
