Beluga Whales

Belugas are very cute whales. They have white, chubby bodies. Adult belugas may be sixteen feet long. They have bulges on the front of their heads. These are called melons. They have round flippers on their sides. Belugas don't have dorsal fins on their backs. Belugas live in the Arctic. They are called white whales. Instead of dorsal fins, belugas have small, tough ridges on their backs. They use their heads and these ridges to break ice and make breathing holes. They can turn their heads from side to side and up and down. .....
