Reading Comprehension for August 4
"What are you doing?" said Trisha to her friend Monica.
"I am coming up with an acrostic for friendship," Monica replied.
"A what?"
"An acrostic. Ah-KRAHS-tik."
"What is that?" Trisha asked.
"It is a series of words or sentences related to a subject, formed using the letters that spell the subject."
"Oh, now I get it," Trisha said with a twisted face, indicating she really didn't get it.
She watched Monica spell out FRIENDSHIP in a line on the paper.
