Egg: My life started out as an egg. My mother laid a cluster of eggs on a leaf. My siblings and I hatched from the eggs.

Caterpillar: When we hatched, we looked like small worms. Now we are called caterpillars. We began eating the leaf. Our mother knew it would be our favorite food. Soon, our leaf was all gone. Then we crawled onto more leaves. I never saw my siblings again. I ate and grew bigger. I shed my skin. Then I ate some more! I shed my skin again. This is called molting. I grew and molted two more times.
