Fresh Tomatoes!

I love to visit my grandparents. They live in the country. I live in the city. For the most part, I enjoy living in the city, but sometimes it gets too busy. Grandma and Grandpa live on a small farm that is very peaceful. They have a few chickens, two goats, a dog, and several cats. They also have a big garden.

Grandma and Grandpa love to garden. It's not unusual for them to spend two hours a day weeding, watering, and picking vegetables. Whenever I visit, I end up helping them, and I enjoy it.

We left early this morning to go to the farm. Finally we arrived! "Hi, Grandpa!"

"Hi, Sam! How are you today?" Grandpa met me as I walked up the driveway and gave me a big bear hug.

Grandma kissed my mom. "How are you, sweetie?"

Mom and Grandma talked as they headed into the house.

"Let's leave the girls to themselves," Grandpa suggested. "Have I got something to show you!"

I was excited as Grandpa led me to the tomato patch.

"Remember those tomatoes that you helped me plant?" he asked.
