Haleakala National Park

Haleakala is the name of a volcano. It is in Hawaii. It is on the island of Maui. Haleakala National Park is there. There are many different landforms there. You can find bare volcanic landscapes. They are near the top of Haleakala volcano. You can explore sub-tropical rain forests. There is much to see.


Many unique species live at Haleakala. Many of these do not live anywhere else in the world. The Hawaiian Islands formed in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. They were never a part of any other land. It was hard for plants or animals to get there from other places. The islands are far from any other land. Many animals and plants there are endangered species. There are more endangered species in Haleakala National Park than in any other national park in the United .....
