Instincts - Listen to the Little Voice

You played hard at recess. Your mouth became dry. This told your brain you were thirsty. A drink from the drinking fountain made your dry mouth feel better. It is important to listen to what your body tells you. Drink when your mouth is dry. Sleep when your eyes feel heavy. Cry when you need to cry. Your body can tell you all kinds of things. Your body will not tell you how it feels using an out loud voice. Instead, you may hear a little voice inside your head that only you can hear. This little voice will help you react to things you experience. These feelings you have are called your instincts. Your instincts are the initial reactions you have to something. Your instincts help you protect yourself.
