Making Decisions about Money

What will you do with your paycheck? Hopefully, you'll take care of your responsibilities first. You'll pay your bills and buy groceries. What will you do with what's left over? Will you buy something you don't really need right now? Or will you save your money?

Many people have high balances on their credit cards. They are so far in debt, it will take them years to get out. These people have not made smart money decisions. Don't be one of them!

First, always use credit cards wisely. Credit cards are very convenient to use. You don't have to carry around large amounts of money. You don't have to carry your checkbook and keep track of a lot of checks. But beware of that huge credit limit your credit card company gave you. Never charge more with your card than you can pay for in a month. In other words, always pay off your balance every month. If you carry a balance, you will pay high amounts of interest.
