Mamie Eisenhower

Mamie Doud was born in Iowa in 1896. Her family moved to Denver, Colorado, when she was seven years old. Mamie met Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1915. They were both in Texas at the time. They were married the next year. Dwight was in the Army. He was very successful. He received many promotions. This meant the family moved many times.
