Memorial Flags, Part 2

Dylan counted out the one hundred flags they would need for their section. While he did that, Sam looked over the printed sheets of names.


"Wow," he said, "there sure are a lot of soldiers buried here."


"You're right," said Dylan. "There, I'm done counting. If you can take one bag of flags, I'll take the other."


It took ten minutes of brisk walking for the two boys to cross to the far corner of the cemetery where their job began. Dylan called out the names of the servicemen on the headstones. Sam checked them off the list when the memorial flag was put in place.
