Gabriel's favorite is the temple orange. Temple oranges are easy to peel, spicy sweet, and very juicy! That's good because Gabriel really likes orange juice. Gabriel has temple orange trees in his backyard. His parents let him pick oranges from those trees anytime.

Gabriel's father told him that oranges have lots of vitamin C in them. Vitamin C helps our bodies grow and repair their tissues. Vitamin C is important in making skin, tendons, and blood vessels. Without vitamin C, our bodies would not heal and our bones and teeth would be in bad shape. Gabriel knows all about why citrus fruits are good for us. That is not why he drinks orange juice, though.
