Samantha's Scare
Samantha graduated from high school last year. Before she went to college, she took a summer job. She worked at a bookstore as a cashier. The hours were long, but the pay was good for summer work. She got discounts on all kinds of books, magazines, music, and games, too. She liked the job.
One day, Samantha had to close the store at 8:00 p.m. She and a coworker had to count all the money so Samantha could put it in a bag and take it to the bank. They locked up and walked out to their cars together. Samantha wasn't worried about the dark parking lot. Besides, she didn't think anything bad would ever happen in her little hometown.
But Samantha was wrong. On the way to her car, something terrible happened to her.
