The Deli

Many stores today have a deli. A deli sells meats, cheeses, and food dishes that the store makes. The meats and cheeses are cut to order. You tell the employee what you want and how you want it cut. They do it for you while you wait.

There are several decisions you have to make when shopping in a deli. The first is what kind of meats or cheeses that you want. That is usually easy. You buy what you like and what you know you will eat. But in a deli, there are several different brands of the same kind of meat.

The more expensive meat isn't always better. But it's hard to find out if you like the taste of the cheaper meat without trying it. If you ask, you can get a small sample of the meat to try. Then you can find out if you like the taste. You can't ask for a taste of every kind of meat in the case, though. Pick one and try it. If you like it, buy it. If you don't like the taste, you may want to pick meats that are more expensive.
