The North Wind and the Sun

The North Wind was a cold and powerful wind. People cowered and ran for shelter when the North Wind blew. This made the North Wind proud.

The Sun had reason enough to be proud as well. He not only provided heat for the Earth, but he also provided light for the beings that lived there. Without him, all living things would die.

One day the two entities argued with each other. Which one was the most powerful?

"It is I," declared the North Wind. "I am the most powerful."

"Not so," exclaimed the Sun. "No one is as powerful as I am."
