The Planet Saturn

Saturn is the second biggest planet in the solar system. It is about 75,000 miles wide. That is wide enough to hold nine planet Earths side by side! People have been gazing at Saturn since the early ages. The observer Galileo saw its rings with his telescope in 1610.

If you were to visit this planet, you would see many things. First, you would notice that you cannot stand on Saturn. It is a gaseous planet. You can't stand on gas! Saturn is made up of hydrogen, helium, and a bit of methane. All of this gas makes Saturn the lightest planet in the solar system.
