The Plymouth Colony

The Pilgrims started Plymouth Colony in November 1620. The Mayflower was headed for Virginia. Many storms during the voyage pushed the ship northward. Instead of Virginia, it landed off the coast of Massachusetts. The men took supplies ashore and began building shelters. The women and children lived on the ship for six more months.
