The Purloined Web Page, Part 1
"Hey, Josh," called Carl Jackson across the wide mall concourse, "Loved the new pictures on your My Place page! Can't believe you did that!" He walked away laughing.
Josh was puzzled. What was Carl talking about?
Josh didn't take time to hang out with his friends as he had planned. He bought what he needed and hurried home.
Once he'd booted up his computer, Josh logged on to his My Place account. He sat in shock when the page came up. What was this?
Nearly everything had been changed. New pictures had been uploaded, but they were not of him. He couldn't tell who was in the pictures, but they were embarrassing! Josh immediately began taking down the pictures. His ears turned red just thinking about who might have seen the page.
Then Josh began wondering who could have done it. No doubt they thought they were funny - that it was all a big joke. He didn't think it was funny, though. Just thinking about it made him angry.
Whoever it had been knew him well to figure out his password. He'd better change it to something else. Josh took a moment to change it and kept thinking about who could have messed with the site.
Who knew him that well? Who might wish to embarrass him? It only took a moment to think of a name.
