The Season of Spring

In many places on Earth, there are four seasons of the year. Spring is the season that comes after winter. Summer comes after spring. Spring begins in the month of March. Then summer begins in June.


In the spring, the sun shines for more hours each day. The days get a little longer. The nights are a little shorter. Outside it starts to get warmer.


Spring weather may bring many rainy days. You may see a rainbow. Spring weather may be stormy. Lightning and thunderstorms can take place. Rain helps plants to grow. There's an old saying that you may have heard: April showers bring May flowers. Many flowers bloom in the spring.
