Zebras are a lot like horses. In fact, horses and donkeys are their nearest kin. Zebras are known for their black and white stripes. Each zebra's pattern of stripes is different. They are unique like humans' fingerprints. Zebras live in groups called herds. The male zebra is called a stallion. The females are mares. The young zebras are called foals. Zebras have hooves like horses. Like horses, they can run fast. They may have to run from lions or hyenas because these predators try to eat zebras. They have very good eyesight.
