Theodore Roosevelt was our twenty-sixth president. He was born in New York City in 1858. He was born to a wealthy family. Roosevelt was often sick as a child. As a young adult, he made many trips to his ranch. It was in the Badlands in South Dakota. The trips made him healthier. He rode horses, drove cattle, and hunted.
