Tidal energy is energy from the tides. The tides are found in the ocean. Tides are caused by gravity. Gravity from the sun and moon pulls on the water in earth's oceans. This pull causes tides. Scientists and engineers have found out how to collect energy from the tides. As the tide flows in, the water flows through a special dam. Then the tidal energy is gathered. This is done with a turbine system. It is hard to find good places to collect tidal energy. There are only a few tidal power plants in the whole world. Right now, there are no sites in the United States that collect tidal energy. .....
