To the Stars

Have you ever stood outside at night and looked up into the sky? If you have, you might have seen only clouds. On a clear night, you will see the moon and as many as 3,000 stars! Have you ever tried to count them?


Some of the little points of lights are single stars. Some of the things we call stars are parts of galaxies, clusters of stars, or even whole galaxies. They are far, far away.


Our own Sun is a star. It is a medium-sized star. Some stars are even smaller than the Sun. Some stars are twenty times larger than the Sun.
