Daniel Boone did many things in his life. He had many adventures. He traveled to many places and saw many new people. He was very famous for being an adventurer. Many stories were told and written about him. Many of those stories, though, were completely made up. Many people don't know the true story of Daniel Boone.


He was born on October 22, 1734, in Exeter Township, Pennsylvania. His family was quite religious. However, Daniel's family was made to leave their church. The family moved to western North Carolina. It was there that young Daniel got his first gun and learned how to hunt.


Daniel grew up and got married. He left home to be a soldier and hunter. At the time, there was a lot of fighting in the area. Daniel found no shortage of fights. Sometimes he fought alongside the British against Native Americans. Sometimes he fought with Native Americans against the British. Later, during the Revolutionary War, he fought with Americans against the British and against some Native Americans.
