Tulips
One favorite spring plant of many people is the tulip. A tulip grows from a bulb. The inside of a tulip bulb looks like an onion. It is made up of layers. The bulb stores food for the plant.
Tulip bulbs can be planted in the fall. In the spring, a long green stalk grows from the bulb. A bud swells at the top of the stalk. When the tulip bud blooms, we see a beautiful flower!
