Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park was the first national park created in the United States. It opened in 1872. It is in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho.


There is a famous geyser named Old Faithful in the park. At a geyser, water shoots out of a hole in the ground. Old Faithful was named because the eruptions happen at regular intervals. Visitors can plan a visit to Old Faithful and will be able to see it erupt. You can also see many waterfalls in Yellowstone National Park. There are also mudpots and hot springs. Some of these smell like rotten eggs!
