By Kathleen W. Redman
1     Apple III sold from 1980 to 1984

2     Try to name all the computers you see each day. You might have a desktop, tablet, or laptop computer at home and at school. There are computers in cell phones. There is a computer in your MP3 player. There's a computer in your satellite television box. There are even computers in most new cars! It's hard to imagine a world without computers.

3     Not long ago, computers were very expensive. Their cost was tens of thousands of dollars. Only big companies could afford them. Computers were built for businesses.
