A Schedule and a Chart
By Phyllis Naegeli
"Haley!" Mom called from the top of the stairs.
"Yes?" Haley answered, coming out of the kitchen and walking to the stairs.
"Can you come up here, please?" said Mom.
"Sure, what's up?" Haley asked, climbing up the stairs and following Mom.
They tried to enter Haley's bedroom. Mom had to push a pile of clothes out of the way to get in.
"Look at this room!" Mom said, putting her hands on her hips.
Haley grinned nervously. "I was going to clean it. Really, Mom, right after I have a snack."
"The snack can wait. This room doesn't just need to be cleaned, it needs to be organized," said Mom.
Haley's eyes lit up. "Hey, we talked about that this week! It's National Organizing Week. I have a list of tips in my notebook downstairs."
