Doctors can give you the right medicine to get you well when you're sick. If you break a bone in your arm or leg, you will need to go to the doctor. A doctor will put a cast on the bone. That helps the bone grow back together straight. A doctor might give you medicine to make the pain get better, too.
Doctors can help you even when you're not sick! Sometimes your doctor may tell you that you need a shot. Shots may hurt for a minute, but they help keep you well. Without shots, you would get sick a lot more. Some of these sicknesses could even make you die. It's great that doctors can give you shots to keep you from getting these kinds of sicknesses.
