National Park Day

Reading Comprehension for April 24

Colin threw the baseball to Brent, who caught it with his glove.

"What did you do on vacation?" Colin asked.

"We went to Yorktown and Jamestown," said Brent, tossing the ball back to Colin.

Colin jumped up and caught the ball. "Nice throw."

"Thanks," said Brent.

"What did you do there?" asked Colin, pulling his arm back to throw the ball again.

"Where?"

Colin dropped his arm down by his side. "At Yorktown and Jamestown."

"Oh," said Brent with a smile. "I became a Junior Ranger."

Colin picked his arm up to throw again, then stopped. "A what?"

"A Junior Ranger," said Brent. "Are you going to throw the ball?"

"Oh, yeah," said Colin as he threw an overhand pitch to Brent.
