Trading Buckets

"You are losing all your water," Michelle said to her brother Ben.

Ben looked down at the bucket he was carrying. He had just walked to the water's edge and filled it up. He was bringing the water back to the big sand castle he and his sister were building. Most of the water was gushing out of the bucket.

Ben plopped down, disappointed. He took a closer look at the orange container. "My bucket's got a hole in it," he said.

Michelle stopped digging with her sand shovel. "Here, let me take a look at it," she said.

Ben handed the bucket to Michelle. She turned it over and saw a ragged hole in the bottom. "I wonder how this happened," she said.

"I don't know. I just grabbed it out of the box with all the beach stuff in it," Ben said.

"Is that the bucket Dad ran over with the car last year?" Michelle asked.

Ben frowned. He had forgotten about that. "I think it might be," he said.
