1     He is coming around turn three. He is in the lead. There are only ten laps to go. The #3 car pulls into the pit. The car needs new tires. The tires are changed in record time. He drives out of the pit. He is back in the race. The last lap is finally here. He passes one car. He passes another car. There is only one more car to pass. He does it! He crosses the finish line first! Dale Earnhardt wins another race!
 
2     Ralph Dale Earnhardt was born on April 29, 1951. He was born in North Carolina. His father was a race car driver. Growing up, Dale Earnhardt liked racing. Dale's dad did not want him to be a race car driver. Dale said it was his dream to race.
 
3     Dale started racing when he was a teen. He needed money to enter races. He got a job. Dale worked on cars during the day. He earned enough money to keep racing. Dale's dad died in 1973. Dale wanted to race more than ever.
