Naming a Hamster
By Kathleen W. Redman
1 For her birthday this year, Lily got a big surprise. Her mom and dad bought her a brown and white hamster! She was very surprised to get a hamster. She loved the hamster very much.
2 Lily wanted some way to make her hamster special. She decided that her hamster needed a name. After all, Lily had a name, so why shouldn't her hamster?
3 Lily thought a long time about this. She wrote a list of some names she liked. Spot was a good name, but so was Squeaky. She also liked Hammy and Sugar. All those names were fun. All those names told a little story about her hamster.
