1     Jasmine liked drama class. She went every Thursday afternoon to the local children's theater. They did short skits, learned acting skills, and learned about great writers of plays.
 
2     Today was April 17, and the teacher told them about a writer named Thornton Wilder.
 
3     "Kids," said Mrs. Thedle, "today we will learn some facts about a great playwright named Thornton Wilder. We will be assisting the adults who will be performing his best-known play, Our Town. I'd like you to learn a little more about him since today was his birthday!"
 
4     Mrs. Thedle turned on the projector. She showed a list of facts. She revealed each fact one by one.
