A Fishy Picnic

Tuna Sandwich Day

Reading Comprehension for April 25

"It's time for a picnic!" Brenda said.

"Where are we going?" Beth asked.

"How about the park outside the aquarium?" Brenda suggested.

"Sounds fishy to me," said Beth with a grin.

Brenda smiled as she took out the wheat bread. She was going to make sandwiches for the picnic.

She told Beth, "How about you get some chips and cookies?"

Beth went to the kitchen shelf. She pulled out sour cream potato chips. She went to the cookie jar and pulled out six chocolate chip cookies. She almost put one in her mouth, but Brenda turned around and would have caught her. Instead, she pulled out a plastic sandwich bag and put the cookies in it.

"There are some juice boxes in the refrigerator," Brenda said over her shoulder.

Beth put down the chips and cookies. She pulled out a small cooler and put some juice boxes in it. Then she put in some ice packs.
