The sun was shining brightly as Heather stepped out onto her porch. She looked around her crowded neighborhood on the edge of the big city. She saw her friend Adela across the street.
"Hi, Adela! Come look at my new yo-yo!"
Adela looked up and waved. She looked both ways before carefully crossing the busy street.
"What's a yo-yo?" Adela asked.
"You mean you've never seen one?" Heather replied.
"No," Adela said sheepishly.
"Well, yo-yos have been around for a very long time. I learned that they even had them thousands of years ago in countries like China and Greece."
"What do you do with them?"
