In the Red!

"Back to your red nail polish, I see," said Benjamin to his older sister Lori as he watched her carefully paint her fingernails.

"Yes. I like the bold color."

"Whatever," said Ben.

"Hey, red makes me feel like I'm on top of the world, you know," giggled Lori.

Ben rolled his eyes.

"Like I said, whatever."

"I'm serious. I recently learned that nail polish, or a form of it, has been used for a long time. Egyptians stained their nails back in 3000 BC!"

"I bet it didn't look any better then," Ben retorted.

Lori playfully smacked Ben on the shoulder.

"Hey," Ben yelled. "Be careful! I don't want any of that paint on my shirt!"

"Oh, chill out, Ben," Lori responded with exasperation. Little brothers could be so frustrating. "It's fast-drying nail polish. Besides, men have worn nail polish, you know."

"Oh, yeah? Name one!"
