Music on a Platter

Jessie loved music, and she loved her MP3 player. She took it with her everywhere. She had lots of music on it. She had put all of her favorite music on it. There was even some music on it she didn't really like. The MP3 player was full of music. Jessie listened to it every time she could.

And then one day it would not play any music at all. Jessie turned it off and on, off and on. She tried everything she knew how to do, but the MP3 player still would not work. Jessie felt like crying.

Jessie decided to take it to her Uncle Isaac. He was a musician. He loved music as much as she did. He had a lot of musical equipment and his own MP3 player. Maybe he would know how to fix hers.

She put on her jacket and walked to Uncle Isaac's house. It was not a long walk. Jessie missed listening to her MP3 player while she walked, though. She surely hoped Uncle Isaac would be able to fix it.

Uncle Isaac was surprised to see her. He told her he was getting ready to go to a party at Music and Memories, one of the music stores in town.

Jessie told him that her MP3 player was not working.

"Can you fix it, Uncle Isaac?" she asked.

"No, I do not think so. I can fix record players and tape players, but MP3 players are too modern for me. I have an idea, though. Go with me to the party. There is a technician at the store. He can fix it, I am sure."

"Okay," Jessie said.
