It Makes a Difference
By Kathleen W. Redman
1 Brandon's mother works in a big law office. She works on the sixth floor of a very tall office building. Brandon doesn't know much about his mother's job, but he knows she works hard.
2 Mrs. Long, Brandon's mother, goes to work every morning very early. She leaves for work right after Brandon gets on the bus for school. That's about 7:00 a.m. When she gets to work, she answers many phone calls. She spends a lot of time on the phone. She's always very polite on the phone. She's polite even when people make her feel upset.
3 Mrs. Long also attends a lot of meetings. She meets with her bosses at least two times every day. She meets with her co-workers. Sometimes she travels to meetings. Last year, Brandon's mother had to go all the way to England for a meeting. She brought Brandon some nice gifts from London.
